| kommune_nr | Four-digit kommune code, derived through region_code_to_kommune_nr. NULL for Svalbard, "Utlandet, uspesifisert", and any other non-kommune region_code. |
| region_kind | What region_code is, from classify_region_code: kommune, svalbard or unspecified_within_fylke for this source. |
| year | School year code from Udir's own TidID dimension. Every discovered year is backfilled (11, 2014-15 through 2024-25), not just the latest. |
| contents_code | Atlas-normalised variable code: fixed prefix `udir_fravar__` joined with a measure slug (median_dager/median_timer/snitt_dager/snitt_timer/antall_elever). |

the publisher actually uses rather than flattened into the cross-source views. One row per
(region_code, year, measure). Atlas's fourth Udir source. Structurally 10th-grade-only —
Udir's own FravaerG table has no other grade to select.
🔴 stability:source — the column set here follows Utdanningsdirektoratet, not Atlas. If the
publisher adds, renames or drops a dimension, this relation changes with it. That is
the deliberate trade for getting the real grain; prefer a stability:curated relation
if you need a shape Atlas promises to hold still. Decode codes through
meta_dimensions filtered to source_id=udir-fravar.
